Pete Adams AA TX-200 Bushnell 9-18 Premier 7.9 30

A beautiful day to shoot field targets in Minnesota - The rain that was hinted at in the forcast never showed up, but the wind did. The forcast called for wind  speeds as high as 10-15, but the highest reading I got on Mark's Kestrel was about 8. It was still enough to blow the pellets way off course on the long, high shots on the west end of our range - we were aiming off the face plates to get the targets to fall.  John beat Dale with a longer string of hits, and Mark beat out Neil for fourth the same way - using a 12 ft. lb. gun, even! Mark's dedication to 12 is paying off with some real skill in reading and compensating for wind. Pete has a pretty good day in the piston division, shooting a good 50%. The Skogens were no-shows while Rod was recovering from surgery - we all wish him well and expect to see him back at the range next month. The annual meeting was held at the Bierstube after the match. We decided to buy a picnic table for the range, The current officers are stuck in their positions for another year, and we're adding a unique match on September 30.
